About Alter and its operating company

A project by Or-e Studio, a team that provides solutions through design and science. Founded in 2023, Tokyo-based Or-e Studio is both a company and a lab.
 

Designers, scientists, and engineers have come together and started activities with the common goal of solving social issues with an innovative approach. We can provide comprehensive services from original research to product design and sales.

About members

Reiko Shimizu

representative. After living in Hong Kong and England, entered Keio University Media Design Department. In 2020, he encountered "biomaterial design", focused on the issues of food loss and plastic waste, and started experimenting with material development from his home kitchen.
In 2023, he established Or-e Studio and launched Alter as his first project.

Kenfuyu Kurahashi

planner. He majored in communication design in the Faculty of Design at university, and is currently involved in communication through various means such as video production, web design, and SNS planning. Invited by Shimizu, joined Or-e Studio.
